Timing is Everything

My love hate relationship with GPS…as a Wedding Photographer Somedays we are great together, but many we aren’t. Unfortunately the “close enough” pin point simply does not fly with me in my chosen profession as a wedding photographer yet on this occasion its lack of direction and accuracy proved to be a blessing. As the sun started its decent became fully aware that playing our cards right may indeed give us quite the kodak moment. Craig and Sharon seemed happy enough for me to take the reigns and no time was wasted in taking full advantage of the situation at hand.

We’d like the RAW files…..that old chestnut!

The dreaded email I wish I didn’t have to answer… Wedding Photography is without a doubt my biggest passion, I absolutely love my job, my clients and ofcourse the process in which I perform to give back the ultimate magical story of your special day. Upon reading this email that graces my inbox from time to time I try really hard not to be upset with my clients who ask instead assuming they didn’t really understand the full meaning of RAW. After informing me that Photoshop nor lightroom is not part of their lingo their request is becoming clearer in the

Don’t want to pay for your Wedding Photography??

Win it Instead! Wedding Photography is definitely something we’d be taking very seriously if we were to ever dive into the world of Martial Bliss…. You see the truth is with a  large percentile of weddings you will find the suits are returned, the wooden rounds, table runners, photo booth props, wishing wells and  mason jars are quickly  auctioned off to the next over zealous brain hunting bride, the cake gets eaten, the flowers wilt in water, and the dress is hung in the unlikely case it will some day don your daughter…. unfortunately photos are one of the very few

“She’s My kind of Rain” -Newlyweds Ashlee and Shannon

When Love is Black and White Every bride has a vision of how their perfect day will unfold, everything will go to plan, the groom will shed a tear as she floats down the isle in her layers of lace and tulle, the I’do’s sealed with a kiss amid family and friends, on the most beautiful summers afternoon. As a wedding photographer its something I tend to keep to myself, the fact Ive been praying all morning for a cloudy ambush of fifty shades, whilst singing a powerful grammy winning rendition of I’m only happy when it rains – may have been

“Save a Horse and Ride a Cowboy” -Newlyweds Louise and Jimmy

“You and Tequila” and a glass of Sangria. Its something I keep rather quiet as my credibility goes from hero to zero in a matter of seconds so Ive been told. My love of country music is somewhat frowned upon by some, usually those whom have not been privy to this incredible toe tapping, hat tipping genre. That seductive twang, the story of heart ache, the girl you met by the lake whilst peddling a big red tractor…now if that ain’t what dreams are made of I don’t know what is…..

What if you were to “Win Your Wedding”

Making it happen with the Wedding Industry Network Millions of women all around the world are guilty of it, the day they get engaged they immediately start calling venues, registering in two to two hundred online planning sites, buying $10 bridal magazines by the dozen, collecting mason jars, milk bottles and ribbon by the truck load, as all these “brides to be” can not wait to push play on organizing the day they have been waiting for their whole life.

Wedding Photographer Camera Review – Hasselblad H3d-39

Taking the Hasselblad H3d-39 for a spin They say CHANGE is as good as a holiday, In this particular instance id have to agree. As a wedding photographer recently being given the opportunity to test drive this fine piece of equipment this particular vacation I found very memorable to say the least. As the average Jo you could be forgiven in thinking I was sporting an oversized 80’s camcorder, yet on closer inspection you would find in fact I had in tow a beautiful Hasselblad H3d-39. With an alluring first impression, I followed through, although a bit slow to boot, once aroused
